Using Passive Voice
In Task 1 process descriptions, we usually use the Passive Voice because the action is more important than who is doing it.
Pattern: Subject + be + Verb 3

- The liquid is heated and then cooled.
- The fruits are sorted before they are packed.
Common Flowchart Verbs
